A blend of traditional ale malt and specialty roast malts give Amber Ale its characteristic colour and flavour.
Floral notes from the Cabernet Franc are evident in the youthful years of this wine, enhanced with the vibrant red berry fruits of both varieties. Fine grain French oak barrels add subtle complex aromas and flavours and add depth to the palate and length of the wine.
Night harvest and cool fermentation retained the lifted elegant, floral aromas and crisp citrus, apple and pear flavours, which linger with a mineral acid texture. Lively and crisp with a rich round palate this wine is suitable for immediate enjoyment or can be cellared for further complexity and enjoyment of mature Riesling characters.
Refreshing clean citrus flavours, typical of our cool climate vineyards are expressed with youthful intensity capturing both regional and varietal characters. The barrel fermented component adds the complexity of fragrant French oak, while malo-lactic and lees stirring adds mouth feel and further palate richness and length.
